Data Deletion at Lenacore TV

At Lenacore TV, we believe your data belongs to you. If you decide to leave, we make it simple to request a complete deletion of your personal information. This page explains what happens, what we preserve for legal reasons, and how to start the process.

Our commitment: Process deletion requests within 30 days. Transparent about what stays. Zero gatekeeping on your right to be forgotten.

What Gets Deleted

When you request data deletion, Lenacore TV removes the following from our systems:

Account Profile

Your username, display name, bio, profile picture, and all personally identifying information linked to your Lenacore account.

Viewing History & Preferences

Complete record of videos you've watched, watch-later lists, saved collections, playlists, and algorithmic preference signals. No archive retained for recommendation or analytics.

Social & Interaction Data

Comments, likes, follows, subscriptions, and any public or private messages you've sent through the platform. Comments will be anonymized in threads (replacing your name with "Deleted User").

Device & Technical Logs

IP addresses, browser user-agents, device identifiers, and access logs associated with your account. Streaming event logs (play, pause, seek) are purged.

Creator Metadata (If Applicable)

If you uploaded content, your creator analytics dashboard, revenue reports, and performance data are deleted. Video files remain on the platform unless you explicitly request removal (see Creator Content section below).

Payment & Billing Info

Saved credit card tokens, PayPal links, and billing addresses are purged. However, transaction records required for tax and legal compliance are retained (see Exceptions section).

Cookies & Tracking Identifiers

All first-party cookies prefixed with lctv_ are invalidated. No tracking pixels or behavioral data associated with your account remain in our systems.

What We Don't Delete (Legal & Compliance Exceptions)

Lenacore TV is committed to your privacy, but we must retain certain information to comply with law, protect rights, and operate fairly. These records are encrypted, segregated, and inaccessible to product teams:

Transaction Records & Financial Data

We retain records of payments received and issued for 7 years to comply with tax law (IRS, California Franchise Tax Board). This includes creator payouts, donations, and sponsorship revenue. These records are stored in encrypted vaults accessible only to our legal and finance teams.

Dispute & Liability Records

If you were involved in a copyright claim, DMCA takedown, or Terms of Service dispute, we preserve evidence and communications to defend both your rights and ours in potential litigation. Kept for 3 years post-resolution.

Abuse & Safety Documentation

If you were reported for harassment, CSAM, or illegal content, we retain investigation records and actions taken. These are never shared with third parties and are reviewed only by our Trust & Safety team and legal counsel.

Creator Content Library

If you uploaded videos or other media, the files themselves remain published and available to viewers (unless you request content removal separately). Metadata about uploads (upload date, file format) is retained for 2 years to prove ownership in case of future disputes.

Backup & Archive Copies

Data deletion requests trigger immediate purge of live systems. However, encrypted backups may persist for up to 90 days before they cycle through our archival retention. We do not restore from these backups post-deletion except if legally compelled by court order.

Aggregated Analytics

Statistical data (e.g., "1 million viewers in CA watched docs in Q2") that cannot identify you individually is retained. Your individual contribution to these aggregates is anonymized and irretrievable.

Legal Hold & Law Enforcement

If we receive a valid subpoena, search warrant, or court order, we preserve all data necessary for compliance, even if a deletion request was previously submitted. You will be notified unless law enforcement prohibits disclosure.

Creator Content Deletion (Special Considerations)

If you're a creator, data deletion is more nuanced. Here's how we handle your work:

Video Remains Live (Default)

Deleting your account does not automatically unpublish your videos. Viewers can still watch your content. This respects the public's interest in preserving art and culture, and honors the creators you may have collaborated with.

Request Content Removal Separately

To delete specific videos or your entire upload library, submit a separate request to creators@tv.lenacore.net with the video URLs or your creator handle. We process these within 10 business days.

Attribution & Credits

If your name appears in credits or metadata of other creators' works, we anonymize it to "Anonymous Creator" rather than remove it (removing credits breaks the integrity of collaborative work).

Revenue Splits & Royalties

If you have active revenue-sharing agreements with other creators or collectives, deletion of your account does not affect their earnings. Splits are honored through the end of the current month. Remaining balance is paid out to your last verified banking info.

How to Request Data Deletion

We offer two methods, both equally valid and equally fast:

Method 1: Online Deletion Form (Recommended)

Visit our self-service deletion portal at https://tv.lenacore.net/data-deletion-form. You'll be asked to:

  • Confirm your email address
  • Provide your Lenacore username (if you don't remember, we'll help you locate it)
  • Answer a simple CAPTCHA to prevent spam
  • Read and acknowledge our data deletion summary
  • Submit the form

You'll receive a confirmation email within 5 minutes. No further action required—we begin processing immediately.

Method 2: Email Request (For Privacy-Conscious Users)

In the body, include:

  • Your full name (as registered on Lenacore)
  • Your Lenacore username or account email
  • Account creation date (if you remember it)
  • Confirmation: "I request complete deletion of my Lenacore TV account and associated personal data."

Our team will verify your identity via email and respond within 2 business days with confirmation.

Method 3: In-App Account Settings (Fastest)

If you're logged in, navigate to Account Settings → Privacy → Delete Account. Click the red "Delete My Account" button. Confirm your password and email. Instant submission to our queue—no waiting for email to arrive.

Identity Verification & Processing SLA

Email Verification (Required)

We'll send a verification link to the email associated with your account. Click it within 48 hours to confirm the deletion request is legitimate (prevents bad actors from deleting others' accounts).

30-Day Service Level Agreement (SLA)

We commit to completing your deletion within 30 calendar days of verified request. Most deletions complete within 3–5 business days. Here's our timeline:

  • Days 1–2: Receive your request and send verification email
  • Days 3–5: Verify your identity, begin data purge from live systems
  • Days 6–30: Complete purge across all databases, backups, and logs; send final confirmation email

If we miss the 30-day deadline, you can escalate to our Data Protection Officer (contact info below).

What Happens If You Change Your Mind?

After you verify deletion, you have 48 hours to cancel. Click the cancellation link in your confirmation email. After 48 hours, the process is irreversible. We cannot restore deleted data.

Technical & Security Details

Data Purging Method

We use cryptographic erasure: your data encryption keys are deleted, rendering stored information unreadable. Files are overwritten at the filesystem level using the NIST 800-88 standard. No forensic recovery is possible.

Third-Party Data Sharing

Before deletion, we ensure all third-party services (analytics, CDN, payment processors) have removed your data:

  • Cloudflare CDN: Purges edge caches within 24 hours
  • AWS S3: Files deleted immediately; versioning retained per legal hold
  • Stripe (payments): Tokens revoked; transaction history retained per PCI-DSS
  • SendGrid (email): Unsubscribes you from all lists; delivery logs purged

Compliance & Certifications

Our deletion processes comply with:

  • GDPR Article 17 (Right to Erasure): EU users can request deletion; we comply within 30 days
  • CCPA § 1798.100 (California Consumers): Right to delete personal information; we honor requests for CA residents
  • LGPD (Brazil): Data subjects can request deletion; we comply with Brazilian law
  • SOC 2 Type II: Deletion logs are audited annually

Lenacore TV was founded on a radical idea: creators and viewers deserve platforms that respect them, not monetize them. That includes respecting your right to disappear.

We don't store your data as a product. We store it as a service. When you leave, your data leaves with you—except where law demands otherwise. We're transparent about those exceptions because we believe honesty builds trust.
